So sorry..

I really do not have anymore time to blog..

I'm so stressed, pressured and it feels like time is rushing soo fast.. No family here somemore..
Goodness!! The only way to release stress is probably by talking to ppl.. But must make sure it's the right person also.. sighs..

I have soo little time soo much to do.. Frustrating!!
I feel scared n tired also.. Arrrrrrrrrr..........

Prayer is the only option now..

I have so much to write about but i don't really have the time to blog..

Okay 1st things 1st!! I WENT HOME LAST WEEKEND!!!!!! And to be honest ther is DEFINITELY NO PLACE LIKE HOME!! Well yea I noe it sounds cliche but its soooooo true.. lol!! The journey back was ok.. thank God Qu Wern came along.. If not the chances of me going back would be nill.. long story for that..lol!! Oh yea.. to everyone taking train or whatever public transport please be SUPER careful.. Once we got off the train in kajang and were walking out, this women came from behind us n stopped us to ask for money!! Scary!! Actually I was more of the target. then she saw QWern and spoke to him instead.. I was literally hiding behind QW then.. Thank God she only asked for rm2.. the even more scary part was that QW actually felt that we were gonna kena d. Once he got off the train, he saw THAT women's gesture n knew we were the target d.. But he didn't tell me till after we kena lo.. *shrugs*

Coming back is another long story.. We left at 1pm from pg and I reached my campus only at 9pm.. Whole day out.. We knew we wouldn't make it for the 615 campus bus so we decided to stop by midvalley which was on the way to kill some time before we catch the 815 bus back.. But what we didnt realise was that the train would be full of ppl on a sunday!! I was seriously SARDINED in the train!! There was barely enough room in the train but everyone just forced themselves in.. I had to squeeze myself in too!! It was just TERRIBLE!!! I don't even know where to start explainin the situation.. The only good part of this was we manage to do some shopping la..lol! But after that we were hoping that at 8pm(QW's fren said he could fetch us instaed. so we took the 8pm train) which is non-pick hour would be less ppl but it was WORST!! The whole station was full of ppl.. We couldn't fit the 1st train so we waited for the 2nd train. When the 2nd train came, we nearly last hope too!! It was packed to the brim!! Then QW found a little space in the last trailler and we squeezed in side ways.. We abrely fit in but thank God it was wide enough if not we would have to wait for another 30 min's. To cut the whole long story short, I just thank God I reached campus safely.. I was sooo tired, scared and worried that I prayed so much just to calm down!! So God answered a lot of my prayers that day.. Praise God! :)

That's bout my hectic weekend.. Now classes have started n some of the clubs are having their meetings.. Today we had ice breaker nite for the ACE Society.. It's more of a charity society.. They go around helping ppl and visitting the orphanages or old folks home.. So yea.. Ice breaking was not bad.. We had lots of running to do but good and fun la.. :)

CF is this thurs.. It's called the welcoming party.. I think there are many Christians here.. excluding catholics.. there r quite a no of catholics.. hope its good.. :)

I joined the badminto club too.. Should I go for the try outs for the competition?? Scared la.. It's been soo long since I played a real match.. Would love to but very scared.. The guys I saw in the court that day were really very good.. I probably saw one girl playing that day la adn she's good.. Haizz.. dilemma..

1st Saturday in Notts

This is my 1st saturday out here..

With nothing much to do and no one around, I decided to walk ard campus n take some pics..

I'm not a photographer so I'm really sry if the photos r really horrid.. There r just so many tree's n plants "blocking". Haha.. Enjoy la..

Ducks ard the lake.. According to wat I heard, there r really ferocious. There was once this guy feeding the duck and ended up being chased by the ducks in the end..

The yellow buiding is called the SA building(students association building). Cafetarie is there too..

The main admin building with the clock tower.. During the orientation they told us that in whichever part of the world, nottingham university always has a clock tower.. Its like a 'mark'. 4got what's the right word to use..

Umm.. That's about my campus.. Its really huge n fully equiped with everything but the only thing is that the nearest nice mall is probably in KL(mid valley).. Still trying to figure out how to get to places with the bus.. :)

6th day of uni life!! (really short version, call then i have more to tell u'll)

Okay this is my 6th day in University..

There's just so much to say but not sure where to start..

Well, PRAISE REPORT 1st..

I Praise and thank God for:

1. An open door to this uni even though it was almost impossible judging from the requirements that they wanted.. So, this shows that NOTHING is impossible for GOD!!

2. A good room.. Well, its ard 10-15 min's walk away from my lecture hall, all the way to the top, center n far right.. I could say that it's almost the furthest!! haha.. But its cooling cuz its on the highest floor n everythin in my room was in good condition unlike one of my roommates which had a broken bed n cupboard.. (pity her)

3. For a few frens like Qu Wern that helped me out a lot!! Everything is so different here.. I have to think of breakfast, lunch and dinner.. Last time, mom would do all this stuff..hehehe.. Missing my fam soo much.. :)

4. For internet connection IN MY ROOM!! Wohooo.. The wifi area is v far away.. ard 10 min n walking home at nite alone is v scary.. So I really thank God for this.. I actually prayed that my room will be near the wifi area only.. But I got internet from my room itself!! How great is our God who understands all the wants n needs in my life!! n the best part of it is no extra charge!! Its included..

5. For all the frens that called to comfort n support me..hehehe.. You know who u r.. Thanks sooo much guys n girls!! Really missin u ppl..hehe.. Every nite just so happen there's always a call and its from someone back home.. N its always when I'm alone in my room.. Good timing ppl!! :)

6. For a timetable that is not so hectic..lol!! for now its still ok.. Wil probably have to read a lot here..

Hmm.. I think there's a lot more to praise God for but I can't think of all of it now..

Okay the worst part of all this is feelin homesick n still keep a smiling face!! Sooo hard!!
Everyone I met here has a similar resemblance or some sort with the ppl back in pg!! So annoying!! They either walk, talk, smile or joke like the person back in pg.. Oh well... I'm ok d la..

My 1st psychology class started today!! COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY!! the lecturer is Dr Elizabeth Sheppard... Cool name ha..lol! She was really nervous but class was not too bad.. Oh btw.. my class is a ALL GIRLS CLASS!! No boys!! well, except for today.. Cognitive Psycho can be an elective module.. So yea.. now we have ONE guy who is dunno from which part of the earth but definitely nt m'sia..

Another thing, 60% of the ppl here are international.. so there r many diff shapes, colours n accent!! Wow.. The blacks have VERY VERY strong accent!! Quite hard to catch it.. I meet a few during the icebreaker nite but not many.. I must say, its quite hard to remember name here.. Sometimes its so paise cuz ppl rem my name but I can't remember theirs..hehe..

Everything has to be done in excruciating pain..sigh.. I guess the pain cannot be compared with labour pain but I haven't gone thru it yet.. SO yea.. No comment..

LOL.. On the bright side.. I won't have to suffer thru it again..
i can smile n look nice SOOOOOONNNNNN... If only it was like within a week.. Then i could go uni without so much pain.. LOL! :)

A day that never ends in my heart.. :)

Sorry for taking a million years to update this!! I actually wrote half of it on the day of my b'day but was didn't have time to post it up.. Sryyy...

The day..

The day that keeps on playing over n over again in my head b4 I sleep like a tape recorder..

It was a day b4 my 19^th birthday..

A day that will always stay safely hidden and cherished for a very long time...

A day that words can’t express how I really felt..

It was half happy n half sad n half of every other feeling in the world..LOL.. Okay not making sense here.. sry..

It was Friday nite during cg.. When I arrived at Cg I got a shock of my life when only half the cell was there.. So I learn to accept what I have as a leader and to move on with cell.. So yea, played icebreaker n soooo on.. then suddenly *click* LIGHTS OFF n suddenly a whole bunch of buffalo’s came down the stairs n said SUPRISE!!! sry its not buffalo's but wonderful sheeps!! u pl r so sweet.. It was a suprise be-early-farewell party!! LOL.. Tat’s what rach called it..hehehe.. Can u imagine??? A surprise farewell party for me??!! Me?? Well, never had one in my life.. So yea It was a real surprise.. THANK YOU GUYS SOOOO MUCHHHHH!!!! :P

Well, to my dear sheeplings, you really did SURPRISE me.. Wasn’t it good that I was particularly sick n BLUR that day?? I should have noticed wilson’s car parked outside n realise that there was sumthing up when the whole world was trying to hide something from me but I just couldn’t care less that nite.. Must be the medicine.. LOL.. (blame the medicine!! :p) So yea GOD IS GOOD!! He helped you all to make your plan succeed by making sure I was blur.. LOL.. :D

Anyways, here is to all you sheeplings aka my darlings aka my little children..LOL..

You all are definitely not ordinary children that I can get off the street.. Each of u are unique and special in ways that you may not know for now.. In due time my darlings, I pray that you will grow out of your shell n soar like eagles up in the skies with boldness n beauty to show the world what you really got!! I mean other than being noisy... Sryyyy... That’s the best part of the cell which I will miss dearly.. Friday nites will never b the same there without seeing u ppl.. So next time, we make a point to talk thru skype on Friday..k?? Then I won’t be soo lonely..LOL..

Here’s a little something for all of you:

Rachel darling, you are a wonderful cell leader.. Even though the sheeps we have love to tease you a lot, always remember that they also love you a lot.. The more they tease, the more they love you.. They are just not that good at expressing that part of it yet..LOL.. :) You’ve sacrificed a lot and I know that you love them a lot too.. Continue to let your light shine in their lives and help them to be a great generation of leaders..

Joshua dear, having u as my assistant was a great blessing.. I would never be able to handle the cell without your help.. You are going to be great leader, Josh.. I know n believe that you will.. Always remember dear.. Your cell members look up to you and treats u like a ‘tai ko’. Well, at least I hope they will.. Do not be afraid to lead a group.. I know that it is very scary but you are not alone.. Always remember.. You are just a channel to bring your ppl back to God.. Main focus is God.. You are just a vessel.. Stay focus n you’ll be fine.. will keep u in prayer always.. :) Feel free to sms me if anything.. Big n small doesn’t matter.. :)

Reuben, THE EGG MAN.. Thkq for being a great blessing to cell.. Thkq for helping with word n playing the piano.. You are a very talented person. thkq for helping me play the piano when I couldn’t..LOL.. May you use ur God given talents to touch ppl n change lives my dear.. Justin, You are one really fun person to be with.. thkq for being a part of Southern Sheep.. really appreciate your commitment to this cell.. n when it comes to playing the drums, have confident!! Sarah dear.. Your laughter is very very n I mean super contagious.. I am definitely going to miss your laughter.. It brings about cheer n happiness to the whole cell.. Felicia darling.. The ever faithful n quiet girl in cell.. Thkq for still being a part of this cg.. I know it has been really hard for u when it comes to transportation but I really admire your effort in trying to attend cell every week even if you have to tumpang 2 diff ppl there n back from cell.. Thanks a lot dear!! May you continue to shine for God in your school n life!! About what to do in life, here’s an advice.. Do something that you enjoy bcuz you will be doing it for the rest of your life!! Dun let other’s pressure you but pray fervently n make the right decision.. :)

Michael dear, you are very quiet n charming.. Even as you prepare for PMR this year, I pray that God will protect your health n keep u in good shape to sit for the exam.. It just started to sink in..

sigh..

I think I am really gonna miss Penang..

The news about me leaving only started to sink in like a few days ago..

I felt suddenly very burdened by it..

Leaving the food paradise island plus all its inhabitants.. sigh..

Okay sry that sounded wrong..

I mean leaving my family, my friends, my cell group members, a home-cooked meal and also the exotic foods here..

So sad.. :(

On the bright side, I guess going to uni will be a BIG thing.. Scary but I hope its fun.. :)

Things to remember to pack

I have only 6 weeks left in Penang..

And I have to start packing my stuff de..

Here's the things I can think of:

1. Clothes hanger

2. iron

3. Soap Powder

4. Clothes that can last me for at least 3 months without wearing out..

5. Pail to wash all my colour-fast baju

6. FOOD: Maggi, biscuits (well, I guess I can still buy some other food like bread there)

7. Hp plus its charger

8. Bible

9. laptop plus charger

10. hair stuff (not many)

11. Pillow and its casing

12. bedsheets

13. toothbursh, toothpaste

14. mug, fork, spoons

Well.. can only think of these few things.. Hmm.. there should be more..lol..

2nd time worship leading..

Well, its as scary as ever...

I really dunno whether I can cope being a WL..

Its so scary!!! :(

Oh well, I have one more time to lead b4 I leave n I have to make sure its a good1..lol..

Okay here's what happen..

I got to know that I was leading like 4 days b4 the event.. So yea usually people can think of songs and prepare themselves by then rite?? Guess wat!!! I duno what happen to me but I could not think of any songs and I could not even prepare myself.. Sigh.. I was so frustrated with myself.. Cus its a big thing and yet I can't think of anything.. After a day or so then I thought of 2 songs but both with diff themes. One was on love n the other was on surrender and I love those songs but I thought it was not suitable for both of it to be sung together.

So after much thought,I decided to choose one of it and it had the theme surrender.. Okay I got all the necessary songs but guess what, it was easier to choose love songs.. All the love songs to Jesus started to pour into my head and I just started scribbling all the titles down but I made up my mind to do surrender so I stuck to it..

Finally the day came.. I was as usual SUPER NERVOUS!! I was one of the 1st few ppl there besides Wilson(youth ps intern).. Then Wilson asked who was WL in ISCA(our youth group) and I said it was me.. So he told me that he wanted me to end worship with this song, "I will have to no other God's before me". For those who know this song, the chorus is on expressing our love to God with all our heart, mind and soul.. So the theme was LOVEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!! I was like ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have asked Wilson wat was he going to share in ISCA that day..sigh..

The thing that most frustrated me was that I had all the Christian love songs in mind plus the songs were really suitable for that topic but I stuck to what I had decided.. HOW STUBBORN OF ME!!!! Stubborn and blind of me not to realise what the Holy Spirit was prompting me to do.. Which was to lead worship with the theme of love.. It was so obvious it was LOVE cus all I could think of was Love songs to God but I was so stubborn and I did it on Surrender.. Haizz.. This time I will listen.. Guess what?! In the end, I sang both the songs thst came to my head the 1st time.. Of course my musicians had some problem with the chords but they manage to play well.. Thank you guys.. And thank you Maylyn for playing the alter call part.. :)

For those who are reading this, pls don't misunderstand me.. I am not complaining.. I'm just saying that sometimes if you realise, we can be very distracted with life and work and school and tuition and frens and probably only know how to enjoy life but none of these things will help you grow to understand what God has in store in YOUR very own life.. Do you realise that when your alone and bored, you'll either go on9 to chat with your frens, go on facebook even though you have gone through it like a million times on that particular day or watch some tv?? Think about it.. Does it help you?? If your a Christian, does it help you grow spiritually? The Holy Spirit is always with you but you have make your own decisions.. He will guide you but you make your own choice.. Like for me.. there were 2 songs that came to my head with diff theme's but I had a choice to make and I made it.. even though it is not exactly the right one, God will still bring you back to where He wants you to be.. Like for my WL, God wanted to speak to His children on the greatest commision which is to 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strengh', and even though my theme was on love, He manage to sort of ask Wil to tell me to sing a love song in the end.. I was frustrated but I learn through experience.. Thank God that He uses people in your life to talk to you..

Another lesson is it not always about yourself.. But less of you and MORE of God in your life.. In fact, God turns your weaknesses into His strength as well.. Like what He did to me..

Well, guess what, I really thank God for everyone in ISCA that day.. They were very supportive to me.. Everyone wnated to sing back up for me.. I felt so touched and thankful.. So in the end, I had 5 back up singerssss!!! How blessed!! Really appreciate you guys a lot!! Samuel, Anthony(for helping me with ONE WAY), sarah, Benice and Rachel.. Thank you guys and girls soo much.. Thank you to the sound crew as well as the musicians.. Really appreciate it.. :)

Its been quite a long while since I last updated my blog..

Okay since CC has been bugging me to update..

Then I shall just update about where I will be going in 8 weeks time..lol..

Well, first I would like to thank God for finally opening a door for me to get into a prestigious place.. Actually the requirement was too high for me and I nearly gave up but I suddenly had this urge so I wrote to the prof there.. And I tried applying lor.. Its not exactly the course that I want but at least I will be able to branch out later on.. HOPEFULLY!! So after a weeks or so then I got an offer letter!!! Yipeeeeee!!!! Wohoooo!!!! Praise God! So yea that's why I will be going to the University of Nottingham, Malaysia campus..

I am very very nervous.. Plus scared, fearful of whether I can cope with the subjects and all those nonsense feelings.. Even I myself noe its nonsense but its hard to control..

On the bright side, I will be able to meet all my frens that are studying in KL.. We could probably meet somewhere and sometime..lol..

So yea.. I will be going there.. Soon.. Very soon..

I have had other stressful events to help fill the gap like PAD...
I will explain that another time I guess...

Worship leading is fun but at the same time stressful, serious but also enjoyable..lol..
Weird huh?? Hahahaha...

Well, I guess I could say that this is a praise report..lol..

We were having camp beginning of this year.. It's called music camp organised by YuenThern and his team. This was when I meet each and every talented person in ISCA..Haha..
They have so much potential..haha.. Then actually during this camp I did say that I would someday like to take up worship leading in ISCA.. I told this to my small group nea.. So no one noe's accept for a few of them..haha.. Then b4 I knew it, at night, around 1145pm.. Need I emphasize it was 1145pm!!!!!!!! Almost bedtime and my brains are already asleep then the WL were all having their own meeting and then YT called me in.. I was actually in the middle of a mafia game when he did that... Oh well, me being a GOOD and innocent girl, went in to meet them.. But when I was in there, he just gave me a heart attack!!! When i heard the news, I literally froze... Here's what he said:

YT: We want you....

Ben: Ehhhh..

YT: Ok.. I want you to worship lead 2moro morning.

drey: WHAT!!!!!!! Noooooooo!!! No no no I can't.. I don't know how to.. Cannot.. No Noooo...

(I think that's what I said la..lol.. Something like that though.. Too freaked out to rem..)

Next thing I know, I couldn't tahan and I went downstairs just to give me some time to sink the news into my head.. I was suppose to be happy.. But I was soooo scared when I heard the news.. I met Justin downstairs.. I will always appreciated him la.. He was the only one there.. Easier for my to sit n think n PRAY.. I take 2 weeks to prepare songs.. Now I only have 2 hours b4 bed..

Okay to cut the long story short.. I thank God for the opportunity even though it was one of the most scary one's.. I also thank God for cass who played the piano for me, YT who played the guitar and gave me the opportunity to lead, rach to back up sing, bernard who did projectionist for me and the rest of the people who were there to support me.. Really thank you all.. :)

It went ummm...pretty ok.. YT had to help me here and there.. Thank God for him.. :)

The thing I learn is God answers prayers according to his own timing. I did pray for a chance to lead in ISCA which I did.. Much later.. This experience was for me to actually know what I'm stepping into.. And I sure do know how it feels like now.. See how amazing God works to prepare us?? Rem:God goes before you in life.. Trust him for He noe's what's best for your life!! If you want to serve and if it is His will, YOu will.. Just wait.. The time will come.. :)

Mr Guitar maker

After petroscience, dad decided to meed his old fren.. He makes guitars and sells them.. Cool eh?? Ever tot of making ur own guitar?? So we went to visit his shop.. It was really cool.. All the diff shapes of guitar's and all..lol.. Here are some picture's of his collection.. I never knew tat there were different types of wood tat produce diff sound and how the length also affect the sound..lol..

Petroscience

The next day in KL, we decided to take the LRT to KLCC instaed of driving in KL.. My parents had to go for some convention so my bro and I decided to go and visit the petroscience again. We have been there before and we enjoyed it. So we decided to go again.. GUESS WAT!!!! I manage to pass off as a youth which is from 13-17 years old instead of adult 18 plus..lol.. Yipeee!!!!! Save money!!! HAHAHA.. Praise God!!! We spend 3 hours there.. So many ppl lorr..hahaha.. But it was fun la..

There was a sing a long with Trex.. The T-rex started singing and we could follow if we wanted..lol.. It sang in 2 languages too..lol.. Interesting how they improvise and create new things..lol

Our little adventure...

Okay here's how it started. We needed to go to KL during this school holiday if not there won't be any other time de. so yea..

We finally manage to squezze time last thurs to go to KL.. So by the time dad finish work, we got ready and we left for KL...

After about an hours drive or so, my bro and I were asleep but we could feel that it was getting rather warm in the car. The air conditioner did not seem to work.. And before I was fully awake, the car suddenly jerked wildly and then the engines shut off completely!! By this time, we were both awaken by tat sudden jerk. THANK GOD there were no cars behind us and dad manage to move to the left side of the highway immediately.. My dad started to try the switch on the engines again but it didn't work. As if the battery was having problem but that was not possible because they just changed the battery a few weeks ago. So we really couldn't figure out what was so wrong. We were in a state of panic and shock. Even the clock went off. So we think the electrical system was down too. Haizz.. Btw, we just pass Bkt merah only. My dad started calling the servising ppl.. You see, this car of ours, is very particular. We can only servis at a place called tan chong I think. Our car is not the normal car which you can get the parts easily anywhere.

So to cut the long calling story short, we found out that there's a servising centre in Ipoh too. so we need not have to go back all the way to pg.. By then, a tow truck guy came to us. At first look, we tot tat he was going to charge us a hefty price but he was nice.. So when the truck came, they did their thing and off we left. NOE WAT!!!!! It took us 3 long, hot and tiring hours to reach Ipoh!!!!!! I was dying in there... lol.. :) By the time we reach there, the shop was already close.. But we really THANK GOD for uncle Benny and Aunty Angie for allowing us to use their car.. Uncle Benny was going back to Pg but was not using his car anymore. So we could use it.. lol.. THANK GOD!!! Plus it was a car tat my dad use to drive.. So it was easier too.. PRAISE GOD!!
So we drove their car all the way to KL..
